Good Morning Good Morning,
I still can't believe how time flies. I feel like I got off the plane from Germany last night and am leaving next week. I still have a myriad of things to do, work first…fun later! :/
List of slightly not fun things to do:
Get rid of clothes I don't wear (….this may be the hardest part) wahhhhhh. Sell to Plato's Closet for $$?
Email my employers/teachers
Clean my room/bring up winter clothes and sort through them
Get addresses from people I plan to write
Clean my school desk
Do some long overdo spring cleaning on my Mac…
Learn German everyday
Fun things (yay!):
Visit family, friends, (and Starbucks). Repeat.
Go hiking, swimming, kayaking, biking. Repeat.
Cook quinoa, make avocado smoothies, gather my tea stash for the ten months I'm gone! Everyday!
Learn German everyday!
These are just a few. I'm getting really excited to leave, preparing is my first priority for this summer. I can't imagine getting to Germany and forgetting something or being UNprepared. I figure this: why not learn now rather than look silly later. I mean really. To get a slight grasp of the lifestyle, and take the sting out of not knowing I have:
1. bought a German phrasebook
2. listen to German talkshows on the radio (via iTunes)
3. Ich lese ein Buch auf Deutsch jeden nacht (vor Bettzeit)
As the excitement musters within my heart, I have been seeking the Lord more and more everyday. A couple nights ago as I was praying I realized this:
"I don't know what the future holds, but I know God holds the future." So it's now my job to worry, or excessively plan what's ahead, but rather it is my job to control my mind and relax in his peace, joy, and plan for my life (because His plan is greater than anything I could think of..).
I will keep you all updated (Mrs.P :D) and maybe see you at Starbucks :)
Blessings!
Genevieve
